AD Info works in conjunction with the "editors" capability of AD WhitePages to ensure
your directory information is up-todate while reducing the cost of directory administration
and communications. When your directory is accurate, users are more productive.
Administrators can eliminate hours of work by providing a self-service tool for
end-users which translates to value for your organization both for your users and
for the company.
AD Info supports flexible management of the information being entered into your
Active Directory and AD LDS by utilizing the centralized directory attribute management
provided in the AD Self-Service Suite. The AD Self-Service Suite allows centralized
management of how your organization uses Active Directory and AD LDS attributes
in any of the AD Self-Service products. Policy can be defined for which attributes
may be used, how they are represented, assigned validators, and possible selectable
values for fields like department, title, etc…
These organizationally-defined values are available when creating AD Info Views.
Users are assigned the appropriate AD Info View controlling the fields they may
update as well as the default values they must select from.
